Dubset Media is looking for an experienced and driven Relations Manager who is passionate about working with DJs, producers, mixes and remixes they produce, and is motivated by its data.  This individual will be a self-starter that has the ability to see the big picture and is able prioritize multiple tasks. A forward thinking with an “I can do” work ethic. The Relations Manager position will play a crucial role in the company’s day to day activities to acquire and register mixes and remixes, and to enable their distribution to music services. This new role will be work side-by-side with our Talent and Content Operations and Editorial teams and manage a group of talented individuals to help acquire, register, clear and distribute mixes and remixes. The strategic focus will be to engage, maintain and develop relationships with top rated DJs from around the world to help streamline processes and to increase content creation and to add growth to our derivative works catalog.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Content Operations and Programming

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary administrative contact for all priority DJs and Producers
  • Manage logistics and coordinate registration/ingestion of mixes and remixes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Create & develop internal systems and procedures that benchmark Dubset Media’s specifications
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all of Dubset Media’s internal systems and processes to  keep business in order to effectively respond to DJ queries (including royalties, content tracking, claims, legal disputes, delivers, territory restrictions and rankings)
  • Understand and process large amounts of metadata for incoming releases and provide feedback to DJs where necessary. This requires a solid understanding of industry standards of ownership
  • Strategize and manage priority release logistics, from timely inception, analysis, PR, including interactive marketing and content management systems and teams
  • Receive, create, and deliver new release schedules to drive compelling pitches and campaigns to content creators/DSPs for all newly ingested catalog
  • Collaborate with Distribution, Talent and Licensing teams to support exclusive content to meet customers and business needs
  • Communicate DJ feedback and trends based on data analysis to product & engineering teams to collaborate on product roadmaps, admin tools, and evolving strategies.
  • Educate DJs on new and existing product features, FAQ updates, supporting best practices, and up keep of internal guides responsible for onboarding DJs
  • Collaborate with various departments, from finance to legal and all management to ensure that all DJ business needs are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop strong industry relationships in the EDM space, with DJs/Producers, across accounts, clients, and media

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and Minimum 2 years of music industry experience with an emphasis in label relations
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Word, CRM, JIRA, FTP, and CSP platforms
  • A solid working knowledge and understanding of rights associated with master, publishing, composer & writer credits and the formats in which they are delivered and ingested– for example DDEX and CWR
  • A strong understanding of UI, UX, databases, digital distribution, onboarding, ingestion and marketing of music

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of music industry standard formats - Metadata, ISRC, UPC, ISWC, DDEX, CWR, CSV
  • Working knowledge of DJ software and equipment – Serato, Traktor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and present complex concepts to customers and executives
  • Excellent analytics skills
  • Current DJ rankings and pulse on up and coming talent
  • The ability to communicate and work cross functionally
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience with digital music technologies and services
  • Confident self-starter
  • Leadership abilities
