Dubset Media is looking for an experienced and driven Relations Specialist who is passionate about music and motivated by its data.  This individual will be a self-starter that has the ability to see the big picture and able prioritize multiple tasks. A forward thinking with an “I can do” work ethic. The Relations Specialist position will play a crucial role in the company’s day to day activities to enable clearance and distribution of mixes and remixes to music services. This new role will be aiding Dubset Media to ingest, onboard, deliver, and manage content that stems from new and existing rights holders, as well as partner with internal licensing and content management teams. The strategic focus will be to engage, maintain and develop relationships with the label and publishing partners to help streamline processes and to increase catalog growth.

This position reports to the Relations Manager of Label Operations


  • Primary administrative contact for all priority label rights holders
  • Manage content logistics and coordinate ingestion of catalogs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Create & develop internal systems and procedures that are on Dubset Media’s specifications
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all of Dubset Media’s internal systems and processes to keep business in order to effectively respond to client queries (including royalties, royalty and product tracking, work registrations, duplicate claims, and legal disputes)
  • Understand and process large amounts of metadata for incoming releases and provide feedback to labels where necessary. This requires a solid understanding of industry standards ownership and territory restrictions
  • Strategize and manage priority release logistics, from timely inception, analysis, PR, including interactive marketing and content management systems and teams
  • Receive, create, and deliver new label release schedules to drive compelling pitches and campaigns to content creators/DSPs for all newly ingested catalog
  • Communicate rights holders feedback and trends based on data analysis to product & engineering teams to collaborate on product roadmaps, admin tools, and evolving strategies.
  • Educate rights holders on new and existing product features, FAQ updates, supporting best practices, and up keep of internal guides responsible for onboarding rights holders
  • Collaborate with various departments, from finance to legal and all management to ensure that all client business needs are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop industry relationships in the record label space, across accounts, clients, and media.



  • Bachelor’s degree and Minimum 2 years of music industry experience with an emphasis in label relations
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM, JIRA, FTP, and CSP platforms
  • A solid working knowledge and understanding of rights associated with master, publishing, composer & writer credits and the formats in which they are delivered and ingested– for example DDEX and CWR
  • A strong understanding of UI, UX, databases, digital distribution, onboarding, ingestion and marketing of music
  • An industry network with relationships within Record Label and Publisher space is huge a plus


  • Understanding of music industry standard record label formats - Metadata, ISRC, UPC, DDEX, CSV
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and present complex concepts to customers and executives
