Growing up in the world's most famous melting pot, Manhattan, Sean Perry took a strong interest in all types of music at a very young age. At age six, he came home from school wanting to learn to play the violin of all things. And so began his musical journey which would lead him from the violin to the guitar to ultimately his instrument of choice, the turntable, which he took up his freshman year of high school. Sean got his start as a DJ eighteen years ago in New York during what many deem the "golden era" of hip hop. What began as a teenager's hobby djing the local house parties, soon developed into a passion heard by many at the hottest venues around the city. Today Sean Perry is one of Manhattan's most sought-after DJs, having worked corporate holiday functions, trendy fashion launch parties, and countless clubs from SoHo to Harlem. Most recently, Sean’s bookings have placed him on the road on a monthly basis. His unique potpourri of musical genres covers everything from rock, pop, funk, soul, hip hop to house-the perfect mix in an extremely fickle nightlife industry. He can be found at any of a number of weekly residencies in the heart of Manhattan's clubland in the meatpacking district. He currently spins at bottle favorites Tenjune & SL while making monthly appearances at other clubs around the city such as Juliet and Griffin just to name a few. In the summertime Sean is called upon to grace the turntables at premier venues such as SL East in the Hamptons. In addition to his NYC residencies, Sean makes monthly appearances in such cities as Toronto, Chicago, San Diego, Scottsdale, Las Vegas, Cancun, Montreal and a host of others. His international bookings have taken him as far as Dubai and this is only the beginning of Sean's overseas touring. Whether Sean's spinning the Hamptons Magazine Party for Mary J. Blige or just deejaying one of his weeklies for the likes of Cindy Crawford, Timbaland, Kid Rock or Alessandra Ambrosio, he continues to stay in demand and ascend in a fiercely competitive DJ market. Sean's maturation as a DJ evolves with each passing year. The immediate future holds more bookings overseas as well as across the U.S. Also be on the look out for Sean’s transformation into a remixer and producer as he is determined to reach a level of fame beyond his local NYC recognition. Sean is more accomplished than most, yet he is a humble, hard-working, passionate individual who will turn any party or event into a smashing success.
